For over 85 years, this Christian organization has been providing Bibles, biblical resources, and training to transform lives worldwide. They have distributed nearly 1 billion Bibles and biblical resources.
They serve in six regions: Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America, Middle East, and North America, equipping under-resourced churches to reach their communities with the Gospel. Their ministry programs include Project Philip evangelistic and discipleship Bible study; Bible-based literacy; and church planter training.
One of their unique activities is translating the Bible and New Testament into what they call ERV. The letters stand for Easy-To-Read-Version. It is written at a third grade reading level and has short sentences. The ERV is currently available in 18 languages and can be downloaded at no cost on their website (see the category called Bible Downloads) or purchased in book form.
