Nearly all of the organizations included on this HelpingWorldwide website depend on financial support, and those based on evangelical Christian values usually need it as well. Prospective donors want to be as certain as possible that the money they give will be used appropriately and efficiently. Since 1979, ECFA has helped meet this need in the evangelical Christian community by establishing and maintaining high standards for their over 2,700 accredited members comprised of church and other Christian organizations (but they do not rate ministries). Many faith-based organizations on this website are ECFA members, and you can find them and others described (and their financial reports given) on the ECFA website.
