Since 1992, CFHI has helped students in preparation for several fields of health and medical professions to go abroad. This includes undergraduates, graduate students, and residents. It has over 40 programs and has enabled over 8,000 participants to assist in 11 countries. CFHI participants rotate through local healthcare facilites or NGOs with local health professionals, attend weekly health information sessions, and learn about healthcare systems in developing countries. Partial scholarships are available. CFHI has a special relationship with the United Nations Economic and Social Council. See their website for details.
