With a goal of “improving global health through education,” they send qualified professionals overseas to train health care providers in numerous fields of health care. Established in 1986, HVO is a teaching and training organization that supports over 85 programs in over 25 developing countries. Over 10,000 assignments have been completed and more are expected. Volunteers can go on short-term trips and share their health care knowledge with their local counterparts overseas.
