Medical Mission Exchange (MMEX)
Often people on medical mission trips see patients who need a visiting specialist, and that specialist might have been available if he or she could have known about the situation in a timely manner. MMEX “seeks to facilitate referrals of underserved patients to appropriate medical specialists in developing countries.” MMEX now focuses on Haiti, the Dominican Republic, Guatemala, Honduras, and Belize. Other places may be added later. Regardless of where you want to serve, MMEX research may help.
