For less than 25 cents per meal, this Christian organization can provide nutritious food for children in nearly 70 developing nations. The meals enable missions to operate orphanages, schools, and clinics. The program has grown greatly since it began in 1987. In 2015, over one million FMSC volunteers packed nearly 273 million meals and thus fed an estimated 745,000+ children. As of December 31, 2016, they have shipped an estimated 1,635,555,952 meals.
Along with their headquarters in Coon Rapids, they have six other permanent locations in Minnesota, Illinois, and Arizona. Their MobilePack program holds many other events in numerous states. See the FMSC website for interesting stories and details.
