Seeking to improve livestock production in the developing world (and impoverished areas of the U.S.), they organized 73 short-term mission trips in 2020. They also have long-term mission programs in 16 countries and treated 21,608 animals overseas. Special training programs are provided for both short-term and long-term activities. Most participants are veterinarians, veterinary students, and vet techs. CVM also provides inexpensive educational materials to help small farmers in developing countries raise healthier animals.
