Global Missions Health Conference (c/o Southeast Christian Church–Louisville)
920 Blankenbaker Parkway
Louisville, KY 40243
Since 1996, this annual three day event has brought together many thousands of people interested in short-term and other medical mission activities and is the largest of its kind in the world. In 2017, they set a new record with 3,000 people (including 950 students) who came. In 2017, there were four main sessions, over 160 breakout sessions, and over 175 exhibitor agencies. Medical professionals in many fields earned CEU credits by participating. It is a tremendous opportunity for networking. The host church (which seats 9,100) invites you to their next main GMHC in Louisville: November 8-10, 2018. A related conference was held at the First Baptist Church in Orlando, FL, March 23-24, 2018. See: www.cmda.org/remedy They also are planning another annual conference in Nairobi, Kenya from September 6 through 9, 2018.
In the meantime, use their very comprehensive website for conference details, links to about 750 mission programs, sources of medical supplies, and other useful information. Some of that includes clean water/sanitation and other subjects not as specifically focused on medical activities. www.medicalmissions.com is one of the most useful websites of its kind. You can use it to download podcasts featuring past year’s conferences.
