Global Missions Health Conference (c/o Southeast Christian Church–Louisville)
920 Blankenbaker Parkway
Louisville, KY 40243
Since 1995, this annual three day event has brought together many thousands of people interested in short-term and other medical mission activities and is the largest of its kind in the world. In 2017, they set a new record with 3,000 people (including 950 students) who came. In 2018, there were four main sessions, over 160 breakout sessions, and over 175 exhibitor agencies. Medical professionals in many fields earned CEU credits by participating. It is a tremendous opportunity for networking. The host church (which seats 9,100) invites you to their next main GMHC. Because of the Covid-19 crisis, the next conference will be done electronically, rather than in person, on Friday and Saturday, November 13 and 14, 2020. Contact them for registration details.
In the meantime, use their very comprehensive website for conference details, links to 800+ mission organizations, 1,000+ content items on domestic and international health care missions topics, connections with over 500,000 people at all experience levels, sources of medical supplies, and other useful information. Some of that includes clean water/sanitation and other subjects not as specifically focused on medical activities. www.medicalmissions.com is one of the most useful websites of its kind. You can use it to download podcasts featuring past year’s conferences.
