They focus on teaching urology to help men, women, and chilldren throughout the developing world. Founded in 1995, IVUmed has sent over 175 medical teaching missions to over 35 countries. Scholarships may be available for American urological residents wanting to go. Another program helps people in developing countries who are learning about or involved in urology come to the U.S. to increase their knowledge and skills.
