This British organization has been involved in many outstanding Christian-orientated humanitarian efforts in over 50 countries throughout the developing world since 1968. They work with local churches in poor communities and have seen millions of people being blessed by permanent escape from extreme poverty. Stories about them may give you ideas about how you can help. They have a quarterly publication called Footsteps and other literature that is very informative.
