They link students in American, Canadian, and British schools with students and schools in developing countries where clean water and appropriate sanitation are lacking. They also suggest ways that students in these three fortunate countries can help with water projects in their partner countries. Lesson plans and other materials are provided for teachers at the elementary, middle, and high school levels. A limited amount is available in Spanish. Their network of schools, with nearly one million student participants, raised money to support over 800 service-learning projects in 21 countries. That total amount raised has been over three million dollars since H2O for Life schools began in 2007. Recipients must become fully involved and share the projects to qualify.
