Originally known as PCI (Project Concern International), their mission is “to empower people to enhance health, hunger, and overcome hardship.” They want to provide the most vulnerable people in the world with the tools and resources to lift themselves out of poverty and to create vital, healthy lives for their families now and for the future. PCI began in 1961. In 2015, they reached over 19 million people in 15 countries in Africa, Asia, and the Americas.
