Founded in 1958, Project HOPE “is dedicated to providing lasting solutions to health problems, with the mission of helping people help themselves.” First known for its SS HOPE hospital ship, they now have land-based medical training and health education programs in 43 countries and have trained over two million health care workers. Special emphasis is on helping mothers and children. Project HOPE responds to major disasters. They offer financial counsel to those in training for health professions and help provide financial management resources. Project HOPE is a PQMD (Partnership for Quality Medical Donations) member.
