Having started in the early 1980’s by helping people in India plant and care for fruit trees, they expanded to helping in 16 developing countries with tens of millions of fruit trees and numerous other activities. These include (or have included) global distribution of children’s books, fuel efficient stoves, brick making for schools, environmental education, digging water wells, medical clinics, micro-enterprise, and trees for purposes other than fruit.
The moringa tree is one of their biggest interests because its leaves can be used as a nutritional supplement and in other ways. See www.treesforlife.org/our-work-initiatives/moringa to learn more.
